A huge hello to all those who read our vox blog as well as this feed embedded in our website and myspace and facebook etc :o)).
It has been a while, has it not...? Not through laziness and not through a lack of love for my blog - just been stupidly bust chasing my tail all day every day for over a month......let me explain......
Every year, Si, my business partner, goes to Italy on hols for anything between 3 and 5 weeks - this year was about 4 and he also got married while he was out there to the lovely Maria - so sincere congratulations to Mr and Mrs Reeves. however, this left me with me.....and some supposed help - which would only materialise, and only sometimes at that, for money - which is only to be expected - after all we need to make our way and pay our bills. But....I have been up to my proverbials in it.
So, Si is back, this is what has been happening....
Rehearsal room 4 is sooo nearly completely finished....but was so in demand it is already being used as Police B*****d prepare to go on tour.
We have recorded and mixed and mastered (for free!!) 4 more bands in the last 4 weeks for radio broadcast and have several more interviews lined up.
Mike - our graduate producer, continues to cut his teeth on several new projects and we feel he is going to be a real asset in times ahead.
We have been working on TV audio for Race TV - many thanks to Nick
We have been working on corporate audio and are soon to start filming modular teaching videos.
We have just finished recording new material for Skull Fox, the Yipes, A Shot in the Dark, Zanzibar, Police Ba****d, Beechwood and many many more...bless you all for using us!! From acoustic bliss to some of the most vitreolic metal I have ever heard - excellent :o))).
We are about to start mastering an album for a recently found local producer called Elliot - watch this space - really excellent work.
A big hi to Strikes - our first Grime artist - see you again soon - really top tunes.
I have been on WCR fm for an interview with the Unsigned Show hosted by Katy Jay and may have a 2 hour special of my own coming up in the future. Loads of love goes out to Katy and Steve Morris (Station Manager) for the continued mutual support.
2009 will see a few changes coming up at our creative playground - watch this space cos these will get more frequent and some small and big changes are afoot.

Good lord what a month....
First of all - a big welcome back to Si the Head Producer who has just retured after a 3 week european tour...missed you buddy.

We booked a joint promotion with Nuventure on 29th March at the Brum-famous MAC.....a night featuring One Sixth of Tommy, Alex Lanyon and more.....wonderfully next-generation singer-songwriter craftsmen and women.....
We are recording live audio and video for Nuventure on 30th of March for 5 bands...a challenge and a half but one we are looking forward to. Including....the Hoop Group and the Singles Club.....very cool both....
Paul Broadrick brought us in a sensational photo shoot that should be ready for issue in the next week or so :o). Thanks Paul - see you soon and Jen - thank you XXXXXXXXX - see you again soon.
Our label ambitions may have changed as we are strongly considering taking a joint venture with a FABULOUS band - more in a week and watch the webite change.
A cool spot - only this afternoon - came in the shape of some live recording for Skullfox, who said our live recording was better than their other studio stuff. True - but always nice to hear.
And a big welcome to new rehearsers..not a real word!....The Empires (excellent!), the Lightning (also very good) and welcome back Retroflare (great name) and a big and heartfelt thanks to everyone who already uses us cos you have made us very, very happy bunnies these last 7 months.
See you all in a few weeks with what we believe is some very exciting news.
Andy
Exciting things are happening at Musoplex. We have become the Birmingham base for top London photographer Giovanni Lamonagnia as well as becoming home to the Natural Level photographic group.
More news and some pics as and when I have the time and / or inclination. It is 11.30 and I have more posts to write tonight.
Pleassseee let me get some sleep tonight...I need my bed.
I should think it is just about time for an update from us....
We only haven't cos we are so busy. We're not going off thie idea at all but just up to our nuts in it....and our beautiful building resembles a building site once more...:o(....but not for long....
So...for a brief rundown....
Our new rehearsal room is just about ready and will be used from the middle of next week. Our timing was excellent as it needs to be ready by Wed. This is all based on our 1.2kW PA coming back from DV but they are usually super. Can't recommend Digital Village enough....for anyone that needs anything. Top, top service......low, low prices......:o))). Gimme a discount!
The photo studio is available to hire after next weekend.....from just £10 per hour.....absolutely ideal for budding photographers and an idea that appears to be very popular.
We have a pretty full recording schedule in the run up to Christmas but can always slot in others in Dec......see staff (i.e. Si for details - 07790 158 210, mail@musoplex.com). Cheers though to Brian James, Steve Black Jnr., Looner, Understar (back again) and Ryan for their continued support and business.
We will absolutely update the playlist in a few weeks......promise.....
